Diaspora-Funded STEM Lab Opens at Government Girls' College
By Dumo Green· 28 June 2026
A new STEM laboratory has opened at the Government Girls' College, funded through a partnership with a diaspora professionals' association, giving students hands-on access to science equipment for the first time.
The lab includes microscopes, basic robotics kits, and a small computer lab for coding classes, all previously unavailable at the school.
'Some of our students had never looked through a microscope before this week,' said the school's science coordinator. 'Now every student in this year's class has.'
