Diaspora Doctors Group Completes Third Free Eye Clinic Mission

A group of Wakirike doctors based in the United States and United Kingdom completed their third annual free eye clinic mission, screening and treating more than 600 patients over one week.

Volunteers performed over 80 cataract surgeries and distributed reading glasses to elderly patients who had gone years without correction.

'Every year the queue is longer before we even set up. That tells you both how much the need is there, and how much trust we've built,' said mission coordinator Dr. Ledor Green.
