Community Secondary School Records Best WAEC Results in a Decade

A community secondary school recorded its best WAEC results in a decade this year, with 92 percent of candidates passing five core subjects including English and Mathematics.

School administrators credit an after-school tutoring programme, launched two years ago and funded partly by alumni, for the improvement.

'Our students were never lacking ability. They were lacking the extra hour of support that better-funded schools take for granted,' said the principal.
