ROYAL ATEKE'S FREE AI TRAINING EMPOWERS OKRIKA YOUTHS WITH DIGITAL SKILLS

The ongoing Free Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training Programme organised by the Councillor, Ward 12, Okrika Local Government Area, Royal Ateke, PhD, has continued to attract commendation from participants, who described the initiative as a life-changing opportunity that is equipping them with practical digital skills for education, career development, entrepreneurship, and personal growth.

Participants noted that the training has broadened their understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its numerous applications across different professions, making them better prepared for the rapidly evolving digital world.

One of the participants, Victor George, expressed profound appreciation to the organiser, stating that the knowledge gained from the training has transformed his approach to architectural design.

"With this AI knowledge, I can now create more professional building designs and generate realistic 3D views of my projects without wasting much time. This training has completely changed the way I work."

Virginia Tamunotonye described the programme as a major boost to her passion for fashion design.

"AI has opened my eyes to modern fashion design techniques and creative possibilities. This training will greatly enhance my career in the fashion industry."

A career teacher, Elizabeth ThankGod, explained that AI has made teaching more efficient.

"It is now much easier to prepare quality school lesson notes and explain difficult topics to students with the support of AI tools."

Seventeen-year-old participant Treasure Okumgba said the training has given her an easier way to carry out academic research.

"I can now find information more easily and learn difficult subjects with confidence."

Another participant, Atamuno Iruayenama, expressed excitement over the opportunities AI offers in the creative industry.

"The training has improved my knowledge of graphic design, image creation and music production. I now understand how AI can improve creativity."

Speaking with a smile, Love Samson said the programme has strengthened her academic development.

"AI has greatly improved my academic learning and has made studying more interesting and productive."

Rita Sekibo thanked the organizer Hon. Royal Ateke PhD for introducing her to the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence.

"I had heard about AI for a long time but never understood how it worked. Today, I can confidently generate AI videos, create images, design professional flyers, and even improve my baking business through digital marketing."

Also speaking, Jonathan Gunn, the Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area on Youth Affairs, described the training as a remarkable initiative that has expanded his knowledge in several important areas.

"This training has significantly improved my skills in academic research, youth engagement, and personal health awareness through responsible use of AI technologies. I sincerely appreciate Hon. Royal Ateke for this visionary initiative."

Nengi Minanyo also expressed gratitude, saying the AI training has greatly improved his educational experience and inspired him to embrace digital learning.

Young participant Success Ibitamuno, aged seventeen, said the programme has sparked his interest in robotics.

"AI has seriously improved my knowledge of robotics, and I hope to become an inventor in the future."

Looking Ahead

In his closing remarks, the Honourable Councillor Royal Ateke, PhD, commended the participants for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to remain committed throughout the training.

He announced that the training team will embark on the development of the official website of Okrika Local Government Area as well as a mobile application for the LGA, giving participants practical exposure to real-life digital projects.

He further disclosed that students will also be trained in creating and monetising faceless YouTube channels, providing them with opportunities to earn legitimate income through digital content creation.

Hon. Ateke urged participants to give their best and assured them that every successful participant would receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the programme.

The Free AI Training Programme has been widely applauded as a timely initiative that is empowering Okrika youths, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and children with the digital skills needed to compete and succeed in today's technology-driven world.
